To test a newly created test, you can run the test and watch the test run by transitioning its state to recording.

When a test fails, an X icon is shown next to each step that fails. Usually you should look at the first failed step to figure out why the test failed. There are a number of tools that can help you troubleshoot your failed step:

  • Screenshot - Click on the failed indication icon on the top right of each step.

  • Video - Click View Recording to watch the entire test or scroll ahead to a specific part of the test.

  • Logs - Device and Appium logs are available below the screenshot.

All of these should help you troubleshoot what happened while the test was executed.
